This site was written using Allaire HomeSite. I have included an external Cascading Style Sheet to keep the style consistent throughout the site. Currently, there are a few things I would like to improve developmentally. Here are a few things I will be adding(cross-browser):
- Text Hover--
I have just added the hover effect for Microsoft Internet Explorer and have come across some code to have hover work in both the browser types.
Unfortunately, the code doesn't work with multiple items since it uses the LAYER property for Netscape and writes the DIV from a function and in essence, writing and rewriting the position for different menu items. But hey, it may as well end up being a DHTML menu which is something I want to try to avoid first. ADDITIONALLY, I was successful in creating a "color" object in JavaScript (not installed). I'm going to create a method to act on the object to change the color in a LAYER (but this would still be DHTML of course). ADDITIONALLY, I think there's a way I can do it by referencing the ID in the parent document object. Any ideas from out there would be great!!!
- Dynamically created menus using JavaScript and an XML datasheet
- Sample page created solely with XML.
- A function to handle window.status on the mouseovers. I currently do NOT have status appearing at the bottom of the window.
